Childhood and school in Hämeenlinna 1865-85
During his Hämeenlinna years, Sibelius spent his summers either at the villa of the Borgs in Annila (in Sääksmäki), or with his paternal grandmother Katarina Fredrika Sibelius and her daughter Evelina in Loviisa. In 1879 Janne's paternal grandmother died and the Sibeliuses' house was then let for nearly ten years. They did not return to Loviisa until the end of the 1880s.
